Here’s My first Drawing of the year. Actually this was going to be my last drawing for 2005, but the hustle and bustle of Christmas kept me from working on it.
Another one of my favorite Tim Burton movie characters. Jack Nicholson as the Joker from Batman.
I tried a new technique with this and used very little blending. I wanted a rough textured look versus the smooth look you see on my Johnny Depp drawings.
2B mechanical pencil on 9x12 hot press water color paper (I forget which brand I choose for this one).
that's hot, and the lack of blending gives jack a chisel hard look that is actually probably pretty fitting for the character

I definitely love that movie. I remember it was one of the first movies I saw at the cinema... and I thought nobody could have been as perfect as Jack Nicholson to play that role... Sometimes, when I see him acting in other movies and I watch his smile.. it reminds me of Joker.
I think that role was very interesting. A smile on the face, but sadness and anger in his eyes.
You captured both so well

I really like the lack of blending on this, it really wors for the character. I'm stuck on his mouth connecting to his nose though.. somethign looks crooked, but it might just be me.... probably is actually. It's probably just his lipstick or somethign that's throwing me off..
Well anyways, another lovely piece by you!
