I need references for pastel paintings that will be entered in art shows. If anyone has any interesting photos that they want to give me permission to use please send them to me. I can't use portrait studio photos. They have to be photos that you took yourself. They also need to be clear. I can't work from blurry or dark photos. By sending me your photos you are giving me permission to use them for reference for my art. All art that will be created from your photos will be PG in nature. No dark or sexual art. If you send me a photo of a person, I will need their permission to use their image, unless they are under 18 and you are their paren

Here's an update on my WIP. But I must say I'm not happy with it at all. I feel like I can't draw any more, ever feel that way?  Grandma's hair is all wrong, and I'm not sure if I'm even close to the likeness of this little boy.  By the way the paper I'm using on this is Mat board. I am so regretting not using Bristol smooth, but I couldn't find any big enough. The texture of this mat board sucks! I can't get the boy's skin smooth, and find details are hard to capture on this paper—I hate it.  Anyway I keep plodding on with drawing hoping and praying some miracle will happen.  And yes, I know the boy needs to be darker, I'm having troubl

Okay I'm still toughing it out with the hair here. Many of you said it looks like "helmet head" and that it was shaped odd. I tried to soften up the edges and make it more round "like an afro" even though her hair looks nothing like this in the reference photo, but I don't believe she wasn't having a good hair day when that photo was taken.
